Sedona close to hiring Bullhead City's manager

Associated Press - April 4, 2009 3:04 PM ET

BULLHEAD CITY, Ariz. (AP) - Officials in Sedona say they have chosen the city manager in Bullhead City for their top administrative job if he'll accept the job.

Sedona officials issued a news release this week saying the mayor and council had chosen Tim Ernster for the post and were negotiating on a contract.

Ernster said he hasn't officially been offered the job and he hasn't accepted it.

But Sedona officials appear certain they've gotten their man, asking the community to welcome Ernster and his wife Helen "as they become members of our community."

Ernster has held the Bullhead City manager job since early 2006, after serving in the same position in Lake Havasu City.

He'll replace Eric Levitt, who became the City Manager of Janesville, Wis., in December.
