The Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation Department is proposing new and increased fees for various programs and facilities.
The proposed fee increases could affect swimming pool admission, sports field rental rates, shooting range fees, and other programs.
Under the current proposal, the most dramatic impact would be felt in the category of youth programs, including the summer recreation, after-school, and TOTS program.
These programs are currently offered for free. But due to regulatory issues regarding childcare licensing, the department plans to discontinue the no-cost programs, and instead offer new fee-based programs in their place.
The department is seeking public comments and concerns on the proposed increases.
