After back to back National Softball Player of the Year awards, back to back state titles, what else could CDO prep superstar Kenzie Fowler have to win? How about Gatorade's National Female Athlete of the Year award.
Even though Fowler has reached the pinnacle of success in high school athletics and recieved national recognition during her high school career, for the second year in a row Fowler fell short of the ultimate high school award. But c'mon, do you really think this puts a damper on her future, I don't think so.

LOS ANGELES, July 15 /PRNewswire/ -- The biggest names in high school and professional sports convened in Hollywood today as Gatorade honored the top prep male and female athletes with the seventh annual Gatorade High School Athlete of the Year awards. Gatorade National Football Player of the Year Garrett Gilbert (Lake Travis HS/Austin, Texas) was named Gatorade Male High School Athlete of the Year, while Gatorade National Girls Basketball Player of the Year Skylar Diggins (Washington HS/South Bend, Ind.) received Gatorade Female High School Athlete of the Year honors.
