AVRA VALLEY, AZ (KOLD) - A woman died inside her home when it caught fire Wednesday, firefighters said.

A neighbor watched as flames engulfed the mobile home in the 10500 Block of North Wasson at about 2 p.m.

"I was scared," Aireka Betancourt said.

She took pictures of the fire as it was happening.

"I wanted to show my dad in case he needed to talk to the cops or detectives," she said.

The woman who died was in her 40s, Northwest Fire spokesman Adam Goldberg said.

He's not sure how the woman died, as the investigation is ungoing.

"It appears that she was making her way to the door to get out, but again all the circumstances behind what happened is difficult to tell until we get in there," Goldberg said.

They'll be looking for evidence of smoke detectors as well, he added.
