Powerball jackpot to grow to $200 million

Associated Press - March 11, 2010 8:44 AM ET

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) - The Powerball jackpot was expected to grow to an estimated $200 million for Saturday after no one matched all 6 of the numbers in the midweek drawing, the Multi-State Lottery Association said.

Wednesday's winning numbers were 17, 21, 37, 41 and 50. The Powerball was 1 and the Power Play was 2.

Players matching all five numbers and the Powerball would have won or shared the $172.7 million jackpot.

A Power Play ticket sold in Pennsylvania matched the first five numbers only to win $1 million.

The game is now played in 41 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
