TUCSON, AZ (KOLD) - If a plan to raise student achievement nationwide goes through, students in Arizona will be using the same textbooks as kids across the country.
Some governors and education leaders are pushing a plan that would make math and English standards uniform in all states.
The idea to is give students the skills they need to compete internationally.
But some aren't buying it.
Texas and Alaska have refused to join the project, saying it's not up to someone else to determine what's right for children in their states.
