KOLD News 13Maricopa police officer injured in motor accident

MARICOPA, Ariz. (AP) - A Maricopa Police Department motorcycle officer has been injured in a crash on State Route 347, the John Wayne Parkway at Lakeview Drive in the City of Maricopa, south of Phoenix.
The accident occurred just before 9 a.m.
Maricopa police said the officer did sustain injury during the incident and was transported to a Phoenix area trauma center for treatment.
The collision is being investigated by the Department of Public Safety.
