Arizona is one of nine states with outbreaks of salmonella linked to raw tomatoes.
Pima County has one confirmed case of the strain called Salmonella St. Paul.
Maricopa County has one case. Coconino county also has one, and Apache County has two.
Other cases are still being tested at the state lab.
One person in Arizona has been hospitalized. No one has died.
Across the country, 75 cases are suspected.
Health experts advise people with weaker immune systems and those with an increased risk of infection to stay away from raw roma or red round tomatoesm, except those sold attached to the vine, or grown at home.
All tomatoes should be washed before they're eaten.
And once they've been cut, peeled or cooked, they should be refrigerated within two hours.
