YUMA, AZ - The Pima Community College football team was shutout, 53-0, by #10 Arizona Western College, Saturday afternoon. With the loss the Aztecs drop to 0-7 overall, 0-5 in the WSFL.

The Aztecs were shutout for the first time in 2009, by what Head Coach, Pat Nugent calls, "the best team we have faced this year."

The Aztecs struggled on both ends of the field. Quarterback, Daniel Nicholas, (FR, Tucson, AZ, Canyon Del Oro HS) put up descent numbers through the air, (18-32, 128 yards), but Pima was unable to crack the Matadors defense, for a score.

Pima will hit the road again next week when they travel to Thatcher to take on the #15 Gila Monsters of Eastern Arizona College. Kickoff, in the WSFL contest, is scheduled for 7:00 pm.
