TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Palo Verde High School was ordered locked down on Friday morning after a teen with a gun was seen near campus.
No weapons were found and the lockdown was lifted at about 10 a.m., according to Tucson Unified School District spokeswoman Stefanie Boe.
According to Tucson police spokesman Sgt. Pete Dugan, a "student-aged male" was seen carrying a handgun near a grocery store close to the school's campus at 1302 South Avenida Vega, near East 22nd Street and South Kolb Road.
The teen was last seen heading in the direction of the school, which prompted the lockdown.
