TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A man with a history of DUI charges has been arrested following a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian in midtown Tucson late Monday, Oct. 15.
The Tucson Police Department said Christopher Lopez, 37, is facing charges of aggravated DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
The TPD said Lopez hit a pedestrian on Broadway, near Norris and Olsen avenues, around 9:30 p.m. Monday.
According to a records check, a warrant for Lopez was issued Oct. 12. The warrant is in connection with two DUI cases from earlier this year. Lopez is also facing charges of failure to appear and driving with a suspended license.
The victim, a man in his 60s, is in serious condition.
TPD said the pedestrian was in a crosswalk when he was hit.
