Southern Arizonans graduate from U.S. Air Force boot camp in December

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The four Arizonans recently graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas; completing an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

Airmen who complete basic training also earn four credits toward an associate in applied science degree through the Community College of the Air Force.

U.S. Air Force Airman Julio Grualva is the son of Julio Grijalva of Douglas and is a 2018 graduate of Douglas High School.

U.S. Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Zakaree Simanton is the son of Terra Haynes of Tucson and is a 2017 graduate of Presidio High School.

U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Henry Urena is the son of Rebecca and Alex Estrella of Tucson and is a 2017 graduate of Mountain View High School.

U.S. Air Force National Guard Airman 1st Class Miguel Velasquez is the son of Patricia and Miguel Velasquez of Tucson and is a 2017 graduate of Desert View High School.

U.S. Air Force Airman Hailey Garner is the daughter of Josh and Shannon Garner of Benson. She is a 2018 graduate of Benson High School. (No photo included).
