TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - On this final full week of 2018, we are looking at the local stories that you cared about and reacted to the most these past 12 months. One of those is the murder of a 13-year old girl in our community and the conviction of her own stepfather.
In court, we heard "we the jury do find the defendant Joshua Levlier guilty of first degree murder as alleged in count one of the indictment.”
Last month, Joshua Lelevier was found guilty on all charges including murder for killing 13-year old Jayden Glomb. Prosecutors said Lelevier set up hidden cameras in her bathroom and watched her undress. They also said he wrote a fake suicide note. He actually testified in his own defense, but it took a jury about four hours to return the verdict. In 2017, Glomb’s body was found in a shallow grave not far from her home in Vail; 13 hours after her mother reported her missing. She was a 7th grader at Old Vail Middle school.
