UPDATE: Crash that closed WB I-10 near San Simon turns fatal
At least one person died in this crash near San Simon on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - At least one person is dead after a crash that closed westbound Interstate 10 near San Simon in Cochise County, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.

Traffic is being diverted through San Simon, exiting at milepost 382 and re-entering at 378.

The eastbound Exit 378 is also blocked.

According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the crash near San Simon involved two tractor-trailers. One reportedly caught fire.

There is no estimated time to reopen the highway.
