Donate extra citrus during Super Citrus Saturdays

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Citrus trees abound across Tucson and their owners sometimes struggle to find ways to use the fruit, the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona has the solution - Super Citrus Saturdays.
The public is asked to drop their excess citrus in January, February, and March at the following dates and locations:
- Saturday, Jan. 26 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Rillito Garden Nursery at 6303 N. La Cholla Blvd.; or the Wells Fargo at 4669 E. Broadway
- Saturday, Feb.23 from 11 am to 2 pm at Ashley Home Furniture at 100 N. Pantano; or the Wells Fargo at 3655 E. Grant Rd.
- Saturday, March 23 from 11 am to 2 pm at the Wells Fargo at 10585 N. Oracle Rd; or the Wells Fargo at 8951 E. Tanque Verde Rd.
Employees and volunteers from the Community Food Bank will be on hand at these locations with trucks to help with citrus fruit dropoffs.
More than 6,500 pounds of citrus were collected in 2018, according to the Community Food Bank.
