TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued a dense fog advisory for portions of southeastern Arizona on Friday, Jan. 11.
The advisory will remain in effect until 11 a.m.
A dense fog advisory means visibility can be as low as less than a quarter mile. Drivers should slow down, use low beams and increase braking distance between vehicles.
Areas affected by the fog advisory include: Upper Santa Cruz River Valley/Altar Valley - including the city of Nogales; Upper San Pedro River Valley, Eastern Cochise County below 5,000 feet, Upper Gila River Valley - including the cities of Sierra Vista, Benson, Willcox, Clifton, and Safford.
