TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - It was a winning double-dip for Tucson hockey fans on Saturday.
The 7th ranked Arizona Wildcats beat #13 UNLV 4-3 in overtime to faceoff the day.
UA got the game-tying goal with 52 seconds to play in regulation and then Josh Larson scored the game-winner in overtime deflecting in a shot by Anthony Cusanelli.
The Wildcats are back on the ice on Sunday at 4 p.m. to wrap up their series with the Rebels.
In the nightcap the Tucson Roadrunners ended a three-game slide to the Chicago Wolves with a 3-2 win.
Adam Helewka scored a pair of goals in the third period to swing the game in Tucson’s favor.
Tucson is back in action Friday night on the road against Colorado.
