TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - In order to better understand how transit is used in the Tucson area, both the City of Tucson and the Regional Transportation Authority are asking passengers who use all Sun Tran, Sun Express, Sun Shuttle and Sun Link routes to participate in the survey, from not until March 2019.
The survey is short, only a 5-minute interview, where participants will be asked a series of questions about their travel behavior. According to RTA the information collected will be used to determine future improvements to transit service in the region.
Surveyors can be identified by their blue vests and I.D. badges.
These surveys are typically conducted every three years, in order to help transit stay up to date for the Tucson region. The last survey was conducted in 2016, as part of the Comprehensive Operational Analysis.
For information about Sun Tran, call the Customer Service Center at (520) 792-9222 (for individuals with TDD equipment, call 520-628-1565).
