TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - If you hear some roaring in the skies this weekend, it is likely just training at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base

Aside from the sound, you will also seem some unusual planes flying above Tucson, as D-M hosts Heritage Flight Training and Certification Course.

The course began Thursday, Feb. 28 and will continue until Sunday, March 3.

Heritage Flight participants include civilian pilots of historic military planes and Air Force pilots of current military aircraft, they will be flying in formation together as part of the training. These flights help raise public awareness of the USAF mission and to help commemorate its history.
