Oro Valley police officers awarded for saving life of Tucson recruiter

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Oro Valley police officers honored for saving the life of an Army recruiter in Tucson.

Officer Donald Topar, Oro Valley Police Department, looks on, as he is pinned with the Army Commander’s Award for Public Service Medal, by Brig. Gen. Kevin Vereen, deputy commanding general, United States Army Recruiting Command, on April 12, at the El Conquistador Hilton. Topar was one of three officers who helped save the life of for Sgt. 1st Class Todd Miller, who suffered a heart attack in traffic, July 18, 2018.

Officer Jacob Taylor, Oro Valley Police Department, is presented with the Army Commander’s Award for Public Service Medal, by Brig. Gen. Brig. Gen.
