Pedestrian hit and run investigation

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Both Grant Road and Columbus are back open after a hit and run that occurred around 8 p.m. on April 19, according to the Tucson Police Department.

TPD detectives are asking the public to keep an eye out for the vehicle involved in the hit and run at Grant and Columbus.

According to TPD they are looking for a black Hyundai with front end damage, possible windshield damage and missing the passenger side mirror.

Westbound Grant Road had been closed at Columbus Boulevard, while southbound Columbus Boulevard had been shut down at Los Robles Street, according to Sgt. Pete Dugan, spokesman with TPD.

The pedestrian has been transported to the hospital with serious injuries.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and use an alternate route if possible.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
