TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Pima County School Superintendent Dustin Williams was selected as the 2019 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient by the Amphi Foundation. The award recognizes a graduate of an Amphitheater high school who has achieved the pinnacle of success in his or her chosen field as a professional or volunteer and is presented by The Volpe Team at Nova Home Loans.

"I am deeply humbled by this recognition. Amphitheater is celebrating 125 years and has such a storied history with decades and decades of outstanding graduates who have the privilege of calling themselves alumni," said Williams. "For me to be in the same breath as past winners like Mayor Jonathan Rothschild, Jeannette Maré, and Jon Volpe is truly an honor. I wouldn’t be where I am today without my education and experience at Amphi High! Go Panthers!"
