TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Easter egg hunts are a holiday tradition and at the Saint Odilia Catholic Church, the kids were ready to find them.
Seylando Cole, who is six years old, has done an Easter egg hunt at Odilia before and his strategy is air tight.
“I’m going to look for them,” said Cole. “I see a lot of eggs already.”
Every kid got their chance to find eggs—eight each.
“Well it was good. I think I like it,” said Cole.
Some scholars have said the egg is an ancient symbol of rebirth and new life. When German immigrants came to the US, they brought their traditional tale of an egg laying bunny. It all evolved into the tradition we know today.
But, for Cole, it’s just about fun.
“I have learned that Easter egg hunts are all about having fun,” said Cole.
