TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - April 22 marks the 15th anniversary of Pat Tillman’s death and the legacy he left behind.
On April 22, 2004, Tillman was killed in a friendly-fire incident while serving his fourth tour in the military.
Before his untimely death, Tillman played football as a linebacker for Arizona State University in 1994. He went on to play for the Arizona Cardinals in 1998.
His football career came to an end after the September 11 attacks, when he decided to enlist in the Army.
Pat Tillman is remembered for his inspiring spirit and dedication to serving and making a difference in his community.
