TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Residents in and around Tucson may see smoke in the air northwest of Tucson, as the Pima County Natural Resources, Parks and Recreation conducts a controlled burn of the Tortolita Mountains.

The burn is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 and Thursday, April 25 and is part of a clean-up project at Carpenter Ranch, which is adjacent to an existing Pima County preserve that is north of the Tortolita Mountains.

According to a news release from Pima County NRPR, invasive trees will be burned.
