Glendale police: Toddler dead after being left in car
TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - A one and a half-year-old girl was pronounced deceased after being found in a car in Glendale on Monday afternoon, April 22, according to police.
She was reported to be unresponsive at first, but later died at an apartment complex near 51st Avenue and Thunderbird Road.
Temperatures were recorded in the mid 80s in Glendale on April 22.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, temperatures can reach up to 120 degrees inside a car in as little as 30 minutes when the outside temperature is 85 degrees.
