UPDATE: One arrested following police chase south of Tucson

TPD incident at Los Reales, San Xavier

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - One man is in custody and another is wanted after a police chase south of Tucson Thursday, April 25.

The Tucson Police Department said it began as a traffic stop near 12th and Valencia.

When there, officers were flagged down about a fight between two men away from the stop.

When officers went to talk to the men, the car they stopped took off and almost ran over the two fighting men.

The suspect’s vehicle then ran into two school buses near Los Reales and San Xavier.

One of the buses had 16 student on board. They were unharmed and later released to their parents.

A TPD officer was injured during the incident but was not transported to the hospital.

A passenger in the fleeing vehicle was arrested while the driver got away. TPD said the suspect is a heavy-set Hispanic man.
