TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - The Tucson Police Department is reporting the body found near Broadway and Pantano from Thursday afternoon is now a homicide investigation.
Officers from Operations Division East arrived at the scene after a 911 call from a passerby that there was a body in the Pantano Wash near 7600 East Broadway Boulevard. They confirmed that it was a male found dead in the wash.
According to TPD, Homicide detectives found the body had obvious signs of trauma and after an autopsy, determined the cause of death was due to homicide.
Initial efforts to identify the man were unsuccessful and TPD is asking for the public's help in identifying him.
The victim is described as a light-skinned male, 55 to 65 years of age, 5-foot-5 with a thin gray beard or goatee. He is possibly Asian with balding brown hair and was found wearing a pink/blue short sleeved plaid shirt with dark dress paints and brown dress shoes.
