Conference of Champions invades Tucson

The Pac-12 hits the desert the next two weekends to decide the conference’s best tracksters

TUCSON, AZ - The Pac-12 Track and Field Championships begin this weekend with the Multi-Event Championships.

The heptathlon will kick off the conference meet on 5 p.m. MST on Saturday and the decathlon will begin at 5:30 p.m. MST.

Freshman Skylar Sieben will compete in her second heptathlon at Roy P. Drachman Stadium over the weekend. She scored 5,103 points at the Jim Click Multis to rank eighth in the Pac-12 Conference.

Sophomore Dominic Gehr is slated to compete in his third multi-event competition of his career. He holds a PR of 6,709 set at the 2018 Jim Click Multis during his freshman campaign.

This year, he ranks ninth in the Pac-12 Conferecne with a season-best mark of 5,865 set at the 2019 Jim Click Multis. Junior Mohammad Almarhoun will compete in his first collegiate decathlon.
