TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - For all things adorable and tiny feline, stop by the Hermitage No-Kill Cat Shelter & Sanctuary on June 22, as they host their 7th annual ‘Kitten Shower’ from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The event, being held by one of the oldest cat shelter’s in Arizona will focus on helping find homes for all the kittens born during kitten season - the time from early spring to summer. According to Hermitage staff this is a busy time and when they seem to receive the most kittens.
Working with the community to rescue and house these fragile kittens, oftentimes found without their mothers, the Hermitage utilizes a foster-network to protect the babies until they are old enough to be spayed/neutered and then adopted.
In addition the kittens will be micro-chipped, vaccinated and treated to help prevent parasites before they are put up for adoption.
Staff at the Hermitage are hoping to adopt out at least 80 kittens at the June 22 event and they are even offering a ‘Mommy & Me’ special if adopters fall in love with both the kitten and the momma cat. (See the list of adoption fees below)
Considering adopting a cute and cuddly kitten, Hermitage staff say apply early to avoid the rush. They will be processing and retaining adoption applications in anticipation of June's Kitten Shower.
Adoption applications can be found by clicking HERE.
ADDED BONUS: Those who have pre-approved adoption applications will be entered into a raffle drawing for a brand-new cat tree.
