OVPD Community Action Team: Search warrant turns up guns, drugs

ORO VALLEY, AZ (KOLD News 13) - A search warrant served by the Oro Valley Police Department Community Action Team, helped turn up guns, drugs and money.

According to a news release from OVPD with probable cause, the Community Action Team served the warrant at 8252 North Northern, due to prior reports of people selling drugs from that point.

Officers found inside the home, large amounts of money, three firearms, ammunition, several high capacity magazines, in addition to five grams of cocaine, 30 pounds of marijuana, 50 packages of THC infused edibles and over 1,500 vials of THC oil.

Noah Barnes, 25, who lives in the home was arrested and is now facing charges of Possession of Narcotic Drugs for Sale, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, and Possession of a Weapon During a Drug Offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

According to the news release the arrest is significant as the vials of THC are often used in e-cigarettes and THC edibles are packaged to look like rice crispy treats and candy which can be appealing to teens.
