TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - After a water line break sent geysers in the air, Tucson Water crews were able to shut off the flow of water that occurred near 3900 North Sabino Canyon Road on Monday.
According to our KOLDNews viewers, the leak started around 6:15 a.m. on Monday morning.
After reaching out to Tucson Water, we were given this statement:
We were finally able to shut flow off to the broken pipe. We have crews that are starting to re-open valves that had been shut down. That will allow areas north of Sabino Canyon and Kolb to slowly pressurize and restore service. We are not quite sure yet if we will have everybody back in service, or if we end up with pockets without water. We are distributing water to residents at the Walgreens on Sabino Canyon and Snyder.
Tucson Water says customers in the area should expect low water pressure until it is fixed around 11:45 p.m.
