TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - In honor of National Pet Month, the Pima Animal Care Center is letting potential pet adopters name their own adoption fee on all pets four months and older until the end of May.
This is a 'win win' for both the pets and PACC. Aside from being great companions, pets promote health benefits in their owners, too. They can help manage stress, prevent loneliness, increase fitness levels and increase overall happiness.
There is a variety of loving pets available for adoption, as PACC has been accepting up to 130 pets a day - including puppies and kittens.
Each adoptee (four months and older) will come spayed or neutered, have age appropriate vaccinations, and micro-chipped. There is even a chance for a free vet visit. PACC is reminding adopters that there is a $19 licensing fee for dogs.
Not able to adopt a pet full time? Why not consider fostering instead. Learn more about fostering online or visit PACC in person at 4000 N. Silverbell Road, Monday to Friday from noon to 7 p.m. and weekends 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
