Former Tucson-area coach gets probation in sex crime case
Robert Forman II was an assistant volleyball coach at Ironwood Ridge when a student claimed she was in a sexual relationship with him.

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - A former assistant volleyball coach convicted of a sex crime won't be sent to prison.

Robert Forman II was sentenced to probation for five years on Friday, May 1.

Forman was convicted of sexual conduct with a minor on March 19, but he was found not guilty of three more serious charges -- including sexual conduct with a minor.

Forman was 22 years old when he was arrested in January 2018. His arrest came after a Ironwood Ridge student said she was in a sexual relationship with him.

Amphi Public Schools has said Forman was not an employee of the district and is no longer affiliated with the school.
