Small animals perished as result of Sahuarita mobile home fire

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - A mobile home fire in Sahuarita has left one person without shelter, while also claiming the lives of some of the small animals that lived in the home on Saturday morning.
At 9:45 a.m. this morning, Rural Metro firefighters responded to the area of Dawson and Country club in Sahuarita for a report of a structure fire.
First arriving crews found a double wide mobile home with flames coming out of the front door and windows.
Crews were able to control the flames within 15 minutes.
There was one occupant who safely evacuated along with 2 dogs, however, other small animals did perish in the fire.
Investigators are still working on the cause.
The Red cross is assisting the occupant with shelter.
