Teacher arrested for allegedly assaulting student near Sierra Vista

TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Deputies responded to reports of an assault at a school near Sierra Vista, Friday May 10, according Cochise County Sheriff’s Department.
The release shared Saturday stated first responders requested medical help to Coronado School for a teacher.
Deputies learned the Walter Benny, 50, allegedly assaulted a 14-year-old boy before having a medical issue, according to the release.
Benny, a substitute teacher, was transported to the hospital then arrested for assault.
The sheriff’s office is still investigating what happened.
