TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Chet Jack Wadsworth Maley was sentenced to life in prison Monday, May 13 for a first-degree murder charge.
He also received 10 and a half years for a kidnapping charge. The sentences will run concurrently.
Maley was convicted of murder and kidnapping on Friday, April 12. Maley stabbed his girlfriend Roxanne Ortiz to death in November 2016.
He also attacked one of his lawyers in the courtroom after he was convicted. He is facing an aggravated assault charge for that incident.
His status conference is set for 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 22.
