TUCSON, AZ (KOLD News 13) - Authorities are looking for Blane and Susan Barksdale, both of Tucson, after a missing man’s home was burned down and exploded.
On April 16, first responders were called out to a home on the 3500 block of South Calexico Ave for the report of a fire causing explosions. Upon arrival, they noticed the homeowner -- 72-year-old Frank Bligh -- and his vehicle were missing.
On April 17, the Tucson Police Department found Bligh’s vehicle on South Wilmot Road.
As the investigation continued, the Barksdales were identified as suspects and are now wanted on first-degree murder charges. The TPD said it was also able to connect Blane’s nephew to the crime. On April 24, Brent Mallard was arrested in Phoenix on an arson charge.
Police are now searching for the Barksdales, who they believe are responsible for Bligh’s disappearance. According to a TPD spokesman, Susan may have previously known Bligh.
Bligh was last seen on April 7.
