TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Major changes are happening along a busy corridor on the southeast side as the area sees growth.

Transportation officials will give updates on multiple road construction projects with a focus on the active and upcoming projects from 22nd to Irvington and Valencia to Mary Ann Cleveland Way at a public meeting Thursday, May 16.

Currently, crews are working on the stretch between the train track and I-10.

Neighbors tell KOLD News 13 changes are needed to accommodate the growth in recent years.

“The road is a mess. It’s super bumpy. There’s a lot of traffic. Especially there’s a school up there and when the school lets out there’s a lot of congestion," said Allison Bethoney who lives along the corridor.
