TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - An injured hiker was rescued from the upper Sabino Canyon area, Friday, May 17.
Rural Metro Fire Department along with Pima County Sheriff’s Department and Southern Arizona Rescue Association responded to the call at around 11: 00 a.m.
John Walka with Rural Metro told us that the female hiker injured her ankle from the rugged terrain.
Paramedics immobilized the injury and helped her out of the canyon.
The patient was transported to a nearby hospital for the minor injury.
