FC Tucson looking for more positive results

The side sits in 9th place thru six matches of 1st season in USL League One.

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - FC Tucson returns home Saturday to take on Chattanooga Red Wolves SC in a 7:30 p.m. kickoff at Kino North Stadium.

FCT (2-3-1, 7 points) currently sits in 9th place in the 10-team USL League One.

Devin Vega leads FC Tucson in goals this season (2). Goal keeper Philip Ejimadu is 3rd in the league in saves (20).

Chattanooga comes to Tucson in fifth place in the league standings with eight points.

Last week, FC Tucson fell on the road to the Richmond Kickers, 2-0. The Kickers scored both goals in the match’s final 16 minutes.

The last time FC Tucson played at Kino North Stadium, the club shutout Lansing Ignite, 2-0, on April 30th. This marked the first home win in the professional era for FC Tucson.

After being sidelined with a lower-body injury, defender Jose Terron has wasted no time in making his presence on the pitch known. He has registered 14 tackles, one assist and two created chances in just three matches.

In the past two matches, the club has registered 46 clearances and a 53% tackle success rate. Defender Kyle Venter leads the defensive charge with 14 clearances and five blocks.
