UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - Quinn Flanagan tore through six innings of shutout ball and Arizona Baseball collected a 9-5 victory over the Penn State Nittany Lions (22-27) to complete a three-game series sweep in Happy Valley.
The Wildcats (29-24) have now won seven games in a row, and 10 of their last 11, while picking up four consecutive series sweeps.
Flanagan (7-3) allowed just three singles. He issued no walks and registered a career-high eight strikeouts.
Nick Quintana drove in four runs for Arizona including a two-run home run, his 14th dinger of the season and 34th career home run with the Wildcats.
Cameron Cannon had two doubles gives him a nation-leading 29 on the year, which also stands just one shy of the Wildcats single-season record for doubles. He also drove in two runs
Next up for the Wildcats is a three-game series against the Washington State Cougars in Pullman, Washington to close out the regular season schedule. The series opener is on Thursday night is scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. MST.
