TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Hundreds of people gathered on Mount Lemmon in Tucson last weekend for a special summer camp.
The annual Candlelighters Family Retreat is for children battling cancer and their families.
The overnight camp is available to families with children in treatment for cancer or other blood disorders.
Activities at the camp includes basketball, volleyball, archery, BB guns, campfire circle and crafts. The weekend escape includes meals and lodging and is free to families.
Candlelighters is a Tucson-based non-profit which serves families in southern Arizona.
Other than the camp, Candlelighters hosts holiday parties and offers financial help, information resources and support services.
