TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A woman was found Friday, June 4 after being overcome by the heat while hiking near Tanque Verde Falls.
Rural Metro Fire said the 70-year-old was located about a mile in on the trailhead.
She was evaluated on the scene and didn’t want to go to the hospital, according to Rural Metro.
Rural Metro responded along with the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the southern Arizona Rescue Association.
Southern Arizona residents, and visitors, should be careful as the hot weather arrives.
The high on Friday was 98 degrees. While Tucson hasn’t hit triple digits yet this year, that will change this weekend. It will be over 100 degrees Saturday through Wednesday.
