Two inmates caught trying to escape Bisbee Jail

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - Two inmates were caught trying to escape the Bisbee Jail, Wednesday June 5, 2019.

The Cochise County Sheriff’s Office Detention Division foiled the attempted escape.

Detention Officers were conducting routine cell searches when they discovered damage to a bunk in one of the cells. A piece of the metal bed was being used to break away parts of the wall and window area in order to penetrate the outer wall of the cell.

The two inmates in the cell have been reclassified to maximum security and charged additionally with damage to county property and attempted escape.

Robert Andrew Sutton, 40 years of age from Monument Colorado, was in custody since May 22, 2019 on charges of fraud, motor vehicle theft, property theft false information, conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Rodney Jay Entin, 46 years of age from Tucson, was in custody since May 8, 2019 on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, aggravated assault, obstruction of justice, and possession of a controlled substance
