TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - First responders conducted two separate hiker rescues on Sunday.
Rural Metro Fire responded to a woman unable to make it out near a dam located in Sabino Canyon.
According to Battalion Chief John Walka, the woman says she was overcome by the heat.
She was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The Pima County Sheriff’s Department responded to Esperero Trail after getting a report of a man feeling lightheaded.
According to Deputy Daniel Jelineo, the man had called his mother and told her he was worried he couldn’t make it make it out on his own.
The man had no significant injuries.
