TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - The FC Tucson Women were only able to get one point out of the weekend after drawing a tie and a loss.

On Friday night FC Tucson tied Players SC (Las Vegas) 1-1 at Kino North Stadium.

Hope Hisey started in goal.

The teams lone goal came in the 57th minute from forward Hannah Leitner on an assist by Brandi Park.

Leitner has committed to play at New Mexico State University starting in the fall.

Shortly after, Gabriela Glen came back to tie the game for Players SC after scoring a freekick just outside the box.

It was a quick turnaround for FC Tucson who had to travel to New Mexico and face Albuquerque Sol on Sunday afternoon.

FCTW lost 3-0.

Sol’s Gwen Maly put her team on the scoreboard in the first half (38′). Calista Cordero (81′) and Brittney Harris (90′) each scored in the second half.

FCTW (1-1-1, 4 points) will look to make a comeback in Phoenix next week when they take on Phoenix Del Sol Friday, June 14 and FC Arizona June 16.
