TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A body discovered in a vehicle near midtown Tucson is now being investigated as a homicide, according to the Tucson Police Department.
TPD officers from Operations Division South were dispatched around 4 p.m. on July 4th to the area of South 11th Avenue and South Osborne Avenue, near 22nd Street on the report of a man bleeding inside a vehicle on the roadway.
Officers arrived and found the man, identified as 36-year-old Antonio Yost, with obvious gunshot wounds inside the vehicle, according to a TPD news release.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
TPD Homicide detectives arrived at the scene to continue the investigation. According to TPD several interviews were conducted and the scene was processed for evidence and based on what was found the incident appears not to be a random act, nor was it the initial location of the incident.
According to TPD there are no suspects at this time and they are asking for anyone with information about the incident to call 88-CRIME, they can remain anonymous.
