Tucson man facing charges following standoff on northwest side

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - A Tucson man is facing charges following a standoff at a home on the northwest side of Tucson Thursday, Aug. 8.

The Tucson Police Department said Jordan A. Medart, 26, was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and disorderly conduct.

Medart is being held in the Pima County Jail on a $10,000 bond.

The TPD said the incident began when officers responded to a mobile home park in the 3700 block of N Romero Road for the report of an aggravated assault.

According to police, Medart had been making threats involving a weapon to a neighbor.

Medart initially refused to come out, but was detained after talking to hostage negotiators.
