Dehydrated hiker rescued from Finger Rock Canyon Trail

RMFD and others respond to dehydrated hiker at Finger Rock Canyon Trail

TUCSON, Ariz. (KOLD News 13) - The Rural Metro Fire Department are responding to a hiker who overheated while hiking the Finger Rock Canyon Trail, at the north end of Alvernon.

Pima County Sherrif’s Office and Southern Erizona Rescue Association assisted in the rescue.

The RMFD said crews hiked close to a mile through rugged terrain to reach the dehydrated hiker.

RMFD said crews assisted the hiker back down the trail. The hiker declined medical transport.
